Love – light – laughter – depth

An entire universe inside my mind

I speak in poetry when my voice shakes

Wistfully hoping it’s returned in kind 

 I care without  keeping score

See the good even when it costs me 

That’s not weakness – that’s my power 

Open heart – open door policy 

Self doubt lingers in quiet corners

But my sweetness never sours

Rainy – cloudy – overcast 

Just wanna lay with you for hours

I find strength within my softness

Resilience in my reverie 

Real and rare – compassionate 

I still shine even when unseen
