The water seemingly withheld
Shadows blocking out the sun
She screams “I’m withering away!”
Desperately reaching out to no one
He loves her, he loves her not
She’s pulling out her own petals
Starved – In pain – on empty
The dry Earth around her settles
Her roots deep within the soil
She used to grow within the light
Neglected gardens brought her here
Fatigued and damaged over night
Beg for support to just keep standing
Everything around her feels so dead
Here’s the wind; she’s frail and struggling
Alone, the only flower in her bed
